Ok so I'm totally and utterly in love with my new digital drawing pad! I sketched this bird, scanned it into the computer and then did some mod magic to it. Adorb! right?
As for the weekend, I holed up in the house like a hermit due to the heat. Griffin the teenager was gone both days for the entire afternoon at friends' houses. Seems he's starting to leave the nest in little ways already. Bwahh aahh haaa. tears.
I mopped the basement floor with bleach water finally, did some random chores like laundry and laid pretty low. John had a nasty bout of ringing in the ear on Saturday that required two trips to the pharmacy and lo and behold there was an ear drop that completely stopped the ringing! Of course, it only stops for about an hour, but hey, that's exciting! He can take it as often as needed, YES.
I have successfully broken my glasses so I'm anxious to get a new pair in a few weeks because working on the computer with the drawing thingy makes my eyes hurt with contacts in. We had to replace two tires on the Beckmobile and my dryer now gets a few inches of water in the bottom when it's humid. Go figure. Water has become my nemesis! Took me two days to figure out the nasty smell coming from the kitchen wasn't the fridge, the sink drains, the dishwasher, the bread drawer, the dog food, the garbage can but the stupid bamboo plant in a vase that went all disgusting on me. I'm a little slow but at least the fridge, sink drains, dishwasher, bread drawer and garbage can are spotless. :)
I can't wait for summer to be over and my electric bill can go under $200.

Oh boy, oh boy! You could write a book, Alison. Glad you sniffed out the problem and that it didn't cost anything to fix it.
